Update

SCROLL DOWN FOR UPDATE---

So i'm sitting here now waiting for an update on my baby Tesla.

They took some more xrays, and the only update i have so far, is that there is a gas cloud in her abdomen thats in the SAME EXACT spot as the xrays from yesterday... meaning... something is keeping it from passing correctly. Meaning... a possible obstruction.

I told the doctor tesla is fond of eating strings or anything she can find. Bits of laundry basket, carpet, blanket, tails on toys, anything. She's quite bad about it. If she sees me watching her, she will pretend she's not doing anything. She'll look around and maybe take off. But, she's learned to walk so her bell doesn't ring. So, i'd catch her JUST as she was eating something. And she'd take off running and by the time i'd catch her, sometimes it'd be gone already.

I hope its not the case. I hope theres nothing in there stuck. But that would make complete sense, why nothing will go down. Why she couldn't keep the food down. This doctor is new to our clinic, but she's fantastic. So i'm on the edge of my seat to find out if we really have an obstruction (foreign body- in dr. terms.)

If there is something, then surgery is the only way to move it because it's not moving itself.

I'm so worried...


*****UPDATE on the update....*****

Spoke to the dr. a few minutes ago. Seems as though Tesla has a hairball stuck? We've been finding whiskers- broken ones- around the house lately. Like, she just couldn't handle the stress so she's been grooming herself to the second power. But, because its in the colon, its able to move on its own out (hopefully). The barium calmed her body down slightly.

More fluids, more injections, but the baby can come home tonight. And i will pick up some medications for her tonight. Hopefully once it passes she'll feel more comfortable with eating.

so, around 430.... tesla will be coming home.
