It never ends.

I'm here today because tesla is having a problem again.

Friday she had a bath and aspirated some water. Thinking she'd be fine (she's done that before, she's crazy when she gets a bath) i didn't pay much attention to it. Saturday morning, she was still making strange little coughing noises, but they still were better than friday. However, i called the vet JUST to be safe.

He said to keep an eye on her, she should be just fine, just watch for lethargy. So, i did what he said, went on the walk a thon, and when i came home, watched over her. She did start playing a lot less.

This morning, she didn't finish all her breakfast, and just wants to sleep. ALL day. Doesn't seem to be able to play. So i called the dr. first thing. (offices are closed) and he's out of town, but told me to have someone let me in and get some meds. Then to take her temp. So, i got to the clinic and got her meds.

Then, I went home, got them in her, then proceeded to the store, where i bought myself a thermometer to use. (i've been meaning to get them their own). I got home and took her temp right away- to find it was 105.4. (normal is 101.5 to 102.5) Needless to say i flipped out and called another dr. i work for- that was IN town. She said, run cold water on her hind end, and feet. Then get her to the clinic and give some fluids and a shot of steroids. So, i wash her down, and then i proceed to call the same girl that let me in earlier.

She heads straight over and we get in and give her fluids- take her temp again - its 105.1- and then give her the shot.

So i got her home (she pooped in the car like she was really really mad) and then i got her upstairs where she laid on her favorite chair allllllllllllllll day.

I called the other dr. again, and updated him on everything we did. And, he's on his way home from out of town RIGHT now, and will be coming here to check on her.

Seems like the water might've triggered something else in the poor girl. She always has been a problem child.

I got her to eat some of her stinky goodness (i was thrilled!) and she's moved a few times since then. I took her to the litterbox for her to go, then i took her in this room. She slept in her big box. Then she moved to jump on the file cabinet and look out the window. Then to her blanket, then to the chair. Now she's still sleeping peacefully on the chair.

My stomach is in knots and i'm so worried about her, please be thinking of us tonight.
